Unfortunately, this event has had to be cancelled due to flooding in the area and we are unable to get in the river. We apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. Please email fcrowther@chilterns.org.uk if you require any further information. Apologies again!

Bring the whole family to Old Amersham to learn about the minibeasts and fish that live in the clear waters of the River Misbourne – a globally rare chalk stream!

Come along and enjoy a chance to go chalk stream dipping. Wear wellies or water shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a bit wet. We’ll supply the nets and all the other equipment you need.

Just come on down – no need to book!

Children must be accompanied by an adult. You remain responsible for supervising your own child(ren) at all times.

Directions

The closest postcode is HP7 0HL. Entrance to the Pay & Display car park is between the Tesco’s roundabout and the war memorial. Walk towards the back of the carpark and you will see the path on the left to Church Mead.

About

The landscape, wildlife and cultural heritage of the Chiltern Hills has been shaped by its underlying chalk bedrock – formed millions of years ago, but still having an impact today. Our Chilterns Chalk Festival celebrates this connection to our landscape, both ancient and modern. Find out more.
