Join the Chess Smarter Water Catchment for a Citizen Scientist Social Evening, organised exclusively for active citizen scientists and landowners throughout the Chess Catchment.
Their February 2024 social evening in Chesham will feature a brief update on chalk stream citizen science, followed by talks from Nick Marriner and Harriet Bennett, Landowner Engagement Officer and Land Management Officer, from the Chalk, Cherries and Chairs Project at the Chilterns Conservation Board.
Nick and Harriet will share their efforts over the last four years of working with a passionate group of farmers in the Central Chilterns Farmer Cluster. They will tell the story of the Cluster, sharing lots of exciting case studies of their chalk grassland and hedgerow projects, ecological advice packages and chalk stream restoration works. They will also discuss how they have supported new volunteers to carry out practical conservation work, ground-breaking wildlife surveying and exciting work supporting young people to get their first experience of conservation.
We would love to see you and your friends there!
