Theme: Festive Wildlife Walk. Do wear your Christmas jumpers or anything festive if you wish to – we will be!
Date: Sunday, 8 December
Time: 10.15am to 12.30pm
Location: College Lake Nature Reserve, Tring, Herts, HP23 5QG

We will meet at the Visitor Centre at 10.15am. The centre opens at 10am, and we intend to start by 10.30am at the latest after the initial briefing. Please try your best to be prompt and plan your journey in advance. The end time always depends on the group size, pace and pause points for discussion. Access and other information:

Some wheelchair access, including two mobility Tramper vehicles, which are available to use – if needed, please contact the centre on 01442 826774 or email collegelake@bbowt.org.uk to book – do cc Geeta in so that she is aware beforehand and can discuss with the volunteers.

There is a café and toilets – see website. We will bring some light biting snacks and you can buy warm drinks after the walk.

Walking information:

Approximately 2-mile casual, circular walk around the lake, led by a volunteer.

Gentle slopes, some surfaced paths, gates, benches. Please note that some of the paths are uneven. We do have spare waterproof trousers of different sizes, so do let us know in advance if you need to borrow a pair. Parking is free. Do check the weather beforehand and prepare with suitable clothing.

Dogs:
