Chalk, Cherries & Chairs
Chalk, Cherries and Chairs is an ambitious landscape-scale scheme that aims to connect local people to the wildlife and cultural heritage of the Central Chilterns.
The Chalk, Cherries and Chairs Landscape Partnership Scheme weaves together three main themes – local wildlife, local heritage and local people – across a whole host of different projects designed to engage people, celebrate the area, and protect and enhance the Central Chilterns landscape.
All the projects share common threads, such as volunteering, learning and skills acquisition for young people. They also provide hands-on experience of historical research, traditional crafts, digital communications and environmental conservation. The scheme provides small grants to encourage community initiatives and traineeships for young enthusiasts.

The Chalk, Cherries and Chairs Landscape Partnership Scheme is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the HS2 Community & Engagement Fund, and managed by the Chilterns Conservation Board.
