Join guides in Tudor costume to learn about life – and death – in 16th century Amersham. We’ll explore food and drink, markets and fairs, buildings and burgage plots, clothing and work, health and cures, religious beliefs and the Lollard martyrs.
If you can’t join this walk during the Festival, note that it runs on the last Saturday in each month (April to September).Further details and pre-booking on our website.
Additional information
Amersham Museum is open from 12noon to 4.30pm (additional charge). There are plenty of cafes and pubs in Old Amersham for refreshments.
Accessibility info: The walk visits the church (weddings permitting!) then leaves the town and follows field paths. It includes a steady climb, which is taken slowly. Baby buggies have successfully managed the route and we did once get a mobility buggy up the hill!
