This is an afternoon’s walk through typical Chiltern scenery of field and beech woodland giving us an opportunity for a natter with other, like-minded people.

We’ll also visit the interesting medieval flint built church of Hedsor with some glorious views along the Thames valley where the Thames makes its sharp turn to run through the picturesque Cliveden reach.

Additional information

Participants will need to be properly dressed for a country walk in our unpredictable weather and need to bring enough fluids for the afternoon.
A toilet is available halfway through the walk.

Accessibility info: This is an afternoon’s walk through a working countryside. It involves some steep slopes and stiles and the possibility of muddy and wet tracks. The walk is not at all demanding but participants need to be fit enough to handle some steepish slopes and be prepared for English weather variations.

Stuart Fletcher - Stuart lives on the edge of the Chiltern Hills. As a walk leader for over 30 years, he likes to dream up walks along the infinite possibilities of footpaths the area offers, through beautiful landscapes.

Yes (This is primarily a day's guided walk through picturesque countryside, a gentle afternoon walk with an opportunity to visit a medieval church with grand views along the Thames at Cliveden. Some explanations of the scenery and points of interest will be given. A minor point of interest in the church refers to Sir Paul McCartney's first guitar, which might appeal to children over 70 yrs of age!! )
