Additional information

Bring a packed lunch and drinks. There is an opportunity to use the toilets at the Wendover woods cafe but this comes about two thirds of the way round.

There are several steep climbs. Some uneven surfaces on the Ridgeway and the back paths from Coombe hill can be muddy in wet weather.

This is a longish walk and may not be suitable for younger children.

Paul Niddler. Paul is a volunteer warden on the Ridgeway national trail, and the lead warden for Bacombe hill nature reserve. He has lived in Wendover for the last 6 years and has come to love the hills and woods in the surrounding area.
