This is a beautiful 8km circular route with 3 hills, starting and finishing at The Caversham Golf Club in Chazey Heath. Join Caroline and Liz from the Walk Works, as they visit the mysterious statue in the woods and share some of the folklore that surrounds it. See the beautiful Elizabethan Mapledurham House, St. Margaret’s Church and Watermill and experience the oasis of peace that epitomises this beautiful estate.
Please note: Writer Annabel Streets was going to be joining this walk to talk about her recent book, The Walking Cure, as advertised in our Festival programme. Unfortunately Annabel is now unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
