This is a beautiful 8km circular route with 3 hills, starting and finishing at The Caversham Golf Club in Chazey Heath. Join us as we visit the mysterious statue in the woods and we’ll share some of the folklore that surrounds it. See the beautiful Elizabethan Mapledurham House, St. Margaret’s Church and Watermill and experience the oasis of peace that epitomises this beautiful estate.

We are excited that ‘The queen of walking”” award winning writer, Annabel Streets will be joining us for this walk. In her most recent book, The Walking Cure, Annabel investigates 20 different landscapes and their proven abilities to change how we see, feel and experience ourselves and the world. Streets identifies the perfect place to walk for over two dozen common states-of-mind, whether it be a canal path to spark creativity, a cemetery for a renewed sense of gratitude, a bustling city to allay boredom or the shoreline to heal grief and insomnia.
