Join us for some Red Rose Ramblings! This is a linear day walk using the Red Rose Bus 122 (Watlington – Reading) to take us from Watlington to Peppard. Our 13-mile ramblings then take us through the bottoms and tops of Chilterns, via Nettlebed and Russell’s Water, to return to Watlington.
Our route is a hilly one (total ascent/descent of 1,320 ft) through the towering beech woods clothed in their fresh green foliage, and with an awesome view to soak in on our descent into Watlington.
This walk is supporting Thames Valley Air Ambulance, an independent charity at the front line of saving lives (https://www.tvairambulance.org.uk/). Donations on the day will be gratefully received (we recommend a minimum of £10).
