For the benefit of patients, staff and visitors, Amersham Hospital has revitalised its gardens and restored wildflower meadows on its site with the help of Wild Amersham. Come for a gentle stroll with a local wildflower devotee who will show you the meadows and tell you about the common and uncommon wildflowers you can find there. This will be a short stroll with lots of stops to look at lovely plants.
Additional information
If you are able to make a donation, this will be used to further the nature work at the Hospital.
Marieke Bosman. Marieke is a volunteer with Wild Amersham. She worked for many years supporting social development in the Arab world. Over the past six years she has been involved in a range of nature organisations in the Chilterns and helped set up Wild Amersham. She is passionate about wildflowers in particular.
We will meet at 14.00 at the back of Amersham Hospital, at Entrance B (Dermatology). Parking at the Hospital is often limited so you may prefer to park in the Amersham Old Town car park and walk down (takes 10 - 15 minutes).

Yes (You can get to new Amersham by tube and train; oyster cards are valid until Amersham. From Amersham station it is a lovely 25 minute walk down the hill to Old Amersham and the Hospital (but do make sure you walk down through the woods and not along the main road). There are buses from the station directly to the Hospital and there are taxis parked right outside the station that can take you on the 10 min ride to the Hospital.
