A gentle 3 mile walk from Prestwood through Pepperboxes and Lodge Woods. The route also includes Kiln Common Community Orchard, maintained by Prestwood Nature.

There are several local options where you can enjoy lunch after the walk.

Additional information

Toilets are available in the car park at the meeting point. For refreshments before the walk, try the Pantry at 51.

For lunch afterwards, The Chequers Tree in the centre of Prestwood serves an excellent Sunday Roast, The Limes Tea Room at Hildreth’s Garden Centre offers restaurant quality dining with freshly-cooked local produce and The Polecat is a recently refurbished grade II listed inn with an emphasis on Mediterranean-inspired, freshly-cooked food.

Some part of the route are uneven and there a narrow paths in places.

The walk is suitable for families with children who can walk 3 miles, but there isn’t any specific content aimed at children.
