On this short walk around Maidensgrove Common and Warburg NR, we will delve into some ‘plant-lore’ to foster a greater connection with our natural world.
Through the plants we find along our way we explore the intimate relationship between human and plant worlds, and discover how, over time, they have shaped our culture, customs, legends and folklore, and medicinal practice, etc. We also welcome you to share your own stories in the plants.
We walk at a moderate pace with plenty of ‘plant-lore’ stops along the way. The route is approx. 4.5 miles with three significant climbs (550 ft total ascent/descent) and some steps.
