Board meetings
The Board members of the Conservation Board for the Chilterns National Landscape, its Executive Committee and Planning Committee meet on a quarterly basis. Below you can see details of the committees, forthcoming meeting dates and relevant papers.
Chilterns Conservation Board
The Chilterns Conservation Board is an independent body established by Parliamentary Order in July 2004, and has 27 members, all drawn from local communities.
Secretary of State appointed members are appointed for two- and three-year terms. When those terms finish the vacant places will be promoted locally and applications invited from the public.
Meets every three months. The next few scheduled meetings are:
- 26th March 2026
- 25th June 2026
- 1st October 2026
- 10th December 2026

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is composed of 9 members of the Board, one of whom is the Chair, plus up to four persons who are not members. The Committee has a number of functions, including:
- Monitoring and reviewing the implementation of the Board’s policies and strategies
- Regulating and controlling the Board’s finances
- Administering the Board’s personnel matters
The Committee meets on a quarterly basis. The next few scheduled meetings are:

Planning Committee
The Planning Committee is composed of 9 members of the Board and up to four persons who are not members of the Board. The principal function delegated to the Committee is to make all representations on behalf of the Board in relation to planning policy and planning applications.
