Tracking the Impact – results from our bird surveys
All of the records for the survey squares have been entered onto our online interactive maps, so you can see for yourself what birds, butterfly and plants have been recorded and where. The following map shows all the results for our bird surveys, which are fed into the national Breeding Bird Survey (BBS).
Since 2020:
- 72/78 1km squares have been surveyed for breeding birds
- 96 bird species have been recorded
- 9,259 records have been submitted
To discover more about our data, take a look at the records on the map! To use the map:
- Zoom in and out of the project area using your mouse on a desktop or pinch and zoom on a mobile device.
- Click on a highlighted square to show the records for that 1km survey square.
- Filter the records using the menu to the side of the map; toggle the buttons on and off for the data from the year or years you wish to view.
- Use the menu on the side of the map to swap between street map and satellite view.
