Visit the Chilterns, a landscape of remarkable beauty, with a walking and vineyards experience like no other.
Walk Works brings you this rare opportunity to walk between 4 exceptional vineyards in the Chiltern Hills, just outside of Henley-on-Thames, and to enjoy a tour and tasting at each vineyard, with wines specially curated by an independent wine professional.
The day includes 8 tastings in total, a 2 course lunch, 2 experienced walk leaders and a knowledgeable wine guide on hand all day. You will get to meet vineyard owners and learn about their individual stories and explore the beautiful countryside surrounding each vineyard. With some of the finest and award winning English still and sparkling wines we will introduce you to these family run, boutique vineyards in the most evocative of settings.
The walking route between the vineyards is 13km in total and brings you sensational views over the Stonor Valley and the Chilterns National Landscape with the chalk and flint footpaths of the Oxfordshire Way, lush rolling hills and varied woods and farmlands along the Chiltern Way.
Featuring the following vineyards: JoJo’s Vineyard – Russells Water, Stonor Valley Vineyard – Stonor, Oaken Grove Vineyard – Fawley, Fairmile Vineyard – Henley-on-Thames. Our day starts at JoJo’s Vineyard at 10am, 20 minutes outside of Henley-on-Thames and includes transport from the train station at Henley-on-Thames to the start point. Finishing at Fairmile Vineyard approx 6pm.
