Three venues across Berkhamsted will host over 50 selected artists and makers this September, as part of the inaugural Berkhamsted Art Trail. Free to enter, the 4-day event brings a wonderful selection of painting, ceramics, glass, jewellery, woodwork, photography, sculpture, print and more to the town.
Organised by Obsidian Art as part of Hertfordshire Open Studios 2026, the trail will showcase over 50 artists and makers across three key venues: Berkhamsted Civic Centre, Hill Farm Barn & Café, and Lagley Meadow Hall.
Exhibitors include members of The Buckinghamshire Craft Guild, acclaimed local painters Brigid Marlin and Mary Casserley, alongside other selected painters, printmakers, photographers, ceramicists, jewellers, glass artists, wood workers, photographers, illustrators and sculptors.
The event opens on Thursday, 17 September with Hill Farm Barn & Café and Lagley Meadow Hall open 10am–4pm.
Berkhamsted Civic Centre opens with a special Opening Evening from 5pm–8pm with drinks and the chance to meet artists (all welcome).
All three venues will then be open Friday to Sunday, 10am–4pm daily, with opportunities to meet makers and watch demonstrations throughout the weekend.
Hill Farm Barn & Café will also be serving lunches, teas and refreshments in its garden setting.
Entry to all venues is free.
