Discover life during the Napoleonic Wars through authentic living history displays, military drills and engaging demonstrations. Watch as over 150 re-enactors assemble for coordinated drills and a dramatic skirmish that brings the battlefield to life. Meet soldiers in period uniform, learn about weapons, tactics and daily routines, and explore how war shaped the lives of ordinary people at home and abroad during this turbulent era of British history.

Throughout the day, visitors can meet re-enactors, ask questions, and see history brought vividly to life across the museum’s unique open-air setting.
