Chilterns Country Three Springs Walk
Explore the gentle hills of the northern Chilterns. The long and short circular routes of the Three Springs Walk take you through some of the loveliest countryside of the northern Chilterns near Hitchin. It is a green and tranquil place with ancient hedges, sunken lanes and small woodlands. Visit Lilley Hoo Common, one of 200 commons in the Chilterns which all contain centuries of local history within them. The village of Great Offley takes its name from Saxon King Offa – according to local legend his palace once stood where Offley Place, a training and conference centre, now stands.
