Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway
The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway is a preserved standard gauge heritage railway that runs along the foot of the Chiltern escarpment.
Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway is a heritage railway running between Chinnor and Risborough. The volunteer led organisation runs train rides on steam and diesel locomotives throughout the year to explore the local Chilterns and enjoy refreshments along the way. Originally known as the Watlington and Princes Risborough Railway Company, the railway was largely promoted by local land owners following the failure of the planned extension of the Wallingford branch through to Watlington. Train rides take place on old branch line (7 mile round trip) and special “Thomas” and Santa days as well as Cream Tea Specials.
