Chilterns Discovery Day event to showcase 30 unique experiences this July
Discover the Chilterns from a fresh perspective this summer, as a new two-day celebration supported by the Chilterns National Landscape brings together the very best of this special place.
Taking place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July, the first-ever Chilterns Discovery Day weekend will feature 30 curated experiences across the Chilterns, offering opportunities to explore its rich mix of landscapes, heritage, wildlife, food and local communities.
Annette Weiss, Head of Engagement and Partnership at the Chilterns National Landscape welcomes the new event, highlighting its focus on local businesses and sustainable exploration: “The Chilterns National Landscape is proud to support Chilterns Discovery Day, celebrating the unique and diverse local businesses that showcase the very best of this special place. By encouraging people to explore and connect more deeply, we can help ensure the Chilterns remains a treasured landscape for generations to come.”
Across the weekend, you can enjoy seasonal local menus, enjoy the River Thames on or off the water, watch the moon rise over Ivinghoe Beacon, take the family to an outdoor theatre performance or take part in yoga in the woods. From stargazing and trail walks to family-friendly attractions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
