Have your say: draft Chilterns Nature Recovery Plan consultation
Nature across the UK is under increasing pressure, with the UK State of Nature 2023 report highlighting that wildlife in England has declined by 32% on average since 1970.
The Chilterns National Landscape, renowned for its remarkable natural beauty and rich biodiversity, is not exempt from this trend. In response, we have developed a draft Nature Recovery Plan, which outlines a strategic and collaborative approach to restoring and protecting the Chilterns natural environment.
This Plan builds on the Chilterns Management Plan and focuses specifically on biodiversity and habitat recovery. It is intended to support individuals, landowners, community groups and organisations working to restore nature in the Chilterns.
We are now inviting you to take part in the public consultation on the draft Plan. Your feedback is essential to ensure the final version reflects the priorities, insights and shared ambitions of all those who care about the future of the Chilterns.
How to take part
Thank you for your interest in our nature recovery plan; the consultation is now closed.
Together, we can help nature recover and ensure the Chilterns National Landscape remains a thriving landscape for people, flora and fauna alike.
