New film celebrates the spirit of Dadima’s
A new short film captures the warmth, wisdom and community spirit of Dadima’s – an intergenerational walking group that brings people of all backgrounds together to connect with nature and each other in the Chilterns.
Dadima means grandmother in Hindi and it stands for the wisdom, kindness, and healing of mother nature.
Dadima’s CIC is a friendly, intergenerational walking community that organises free monthly countryside walks in the Chilterns, often with inspiring guest speakers, ambassadors, and community members giving insights on interesting aspects of nature. The group aims to encourage people of all cultural backgrounds and ages to feel welcome in the countryside, forge connections, and share stories.
Back in May, we joined a special Dadima’s walk to honour the inspiration behind the group, Santosh Kumari Ludhra, and spoke to walkers about what the Dadima’s community means to them.
