What is Luton Henge?
Nature Calling artist Matthew Rosier’s “Luton Henge” project launched earlier this month with an event at Marsh Farm.
The event provided an opportunity to share the vision for a new community monument, Luton Henge, made from the Chilterns landscape and inspired by its ancient sites and stories. With a proposed opening of summer 2025, the henge will serve as a platform for community events and performances – celebrating the culture of Luton today.
Local writer Lee Nelson also debuted his new poetry collection, commissioned as part of Nature Calling and co-created by the Luton community. Lee’s poetry will be available to read online as part of a national launch in January.
Watch this space; there are lots of community and public engagement events planned next year as part of the Luton Henge project, organised with Nature Calling producing partner Revoluton Arts.
