Farmers markets
There are farmers markets throughout the Chilterns, in the market towns and some larger villages such as Great Missenden.
See below for some ideas or our interactive map for more!
Tring
In The Market Place in Brook Street, right in the heart of Tring. Here you will find many local products; free range and rare breed meats, local heritage sourdough breads, honey from local hives and juice from the many apple orchards dotted around the surrounding countryside.
Visit the websiteChesham
The town’s award-winning Local Produce Market runs on the fourth Saturday of every month and sells high quality food, drink and crafts from a c.25 mile radius of Chesham. You can find us in Market Square near the clock tower and the upper end of the High Street between 10am and 2pm. Our market is a fantastic opportunity to try the local produce on your doorstep, at your convenience, plus meet and talk to the people who make it!

This most popular and busy Farmers’ market reached a milestone in March 2017 when it celebrated its fifteenth anniversary. It attracts a large following from customers over a wide area who appreciate the high quality local produce and extensive choice on offer.
Visit the websiteWendover
Since 1464 (with only a brief pause of 100 years) Wendover has had a Royal Charter enabling a weekly market that is held on the third Saturday of the month on the Manor Waste; so called as it was once the traditional resting-place for sheep on their way to or from Aylesbury Market. Make a day of your visit and enjoy the beautiful village and its surrounding Chilterns countryside – select your picnic lunch and head for the hills!
Visit the websiteHitchin
Hitchin Markets Craft & Farmers Market is held on the last Saturday of every month. Locally produced meat, poultry and handmade crafts from traders who live or produce their items within a 30-mile radius of Hitchin and that have made the item themselves. We pride ourselves on keeping this market as varied as possible.
